Welcome to the website of Chapter 28-3 of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association. Alabama’s Third Herd!
The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, aka Combat Vets Motorcycle Association or CVMA, is an association of combat veterans from all branches of the United States Armed Forces who ride motorcycles as a hobby. Our mission now is to support and defend those who have defended our country and our freedoms. Our focus is to help veteran care facilities and organizations provide a warm meal, clothing, shelter, and guidance, or simply to say “thank you” and “welcome home.”
The association’s members are Full Members (those with verified combat service), Supporter Members (those who have non-combat military service), and Auxiliary Members (spouses of Full Members and have a sincere dedication to helping veterans). Many of our members continue to serve in the armed forces, with several serving in combat areas now. Although the basic motorcycle requirement is any make or model 500cc or larger, many ride Harley Davidson motorcycles and are also Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) and members of their local VFWs and American Legions.
Our organization sponsors and/or participates in many veteran and motorcycle-related charity events each year, and as a non-profit organization, donates to various veteran care facilities and veteran charities.
The organization’s bedrock principle is that we are a group of Veterans Helping Veterans.
Thank you for visiting our site, and if you happen to be a Combat Vet, WELCOME HOME!
